Black Widow Company
Black Widow Company was founded in February of 2002 by several active-duty Army personnel stationed at Ft. Meade MD while supposedly working, deep in the vaunted snoop-proof halls of the National Security Agency. BWC was primarily geared towards the world's first MMO-FPS "Planetside". BWC made a reputation as a team-oriented force using small-unit and combined-arms military tactics, incorporating many military concepts into its operations. We also dueled Sturmgrenadier and beat the crap out of them. HI SG, we see you in Spanish!! Since then, BWC has gone multi-game, starting with Battlefield 2 - where they placed third place in the TWL ladder matches. With nearly six years of active history, and a membership that has included nearly a thousand names with active membership of over 200 people at most times, BWC has always strived to promote fun, friends and family. Many of BWC's members are active duty, former active duty, and retired military. We have real-world gatherings such as paintball, barbecues and airsoft.

We welcome all types of mariners, as each class represents a vital and integral part in achieving our goals and insuring our mutual success. Cyfrinfa
We are a laid-back group of folks (mostly adults; and the non-adults are very mature) that want to make the most of and enjoy playing the game. In order to do that, we plan on having a large enough society to be self sufficient ship builders and munitions makers. By having each member contribute specific provisions towards the end-goal of ship building, we will spread out the vast labor and resources needed to do so. By selling "excess ships", as well as excess materials, we will be financially independent. Once we have steady resources, ships, and munitions, we will further British interests in the Caribbean by earning contention points through conquest and trade. Our society is Welsh themed, mostly due to the fact that two of the founding members actually lived in Wales back in the late 80's when our fathers were stationed there (both Navy). We have a Welsh flag, which is highly desired that members fly on their ships. We will also have a sail pattern of a red Welsh dragon, which is totally optional for member's use. We work with newer members to help them fit into our Society economy and we tend to work the economy so that our members make money as well as enjoy some of the better things the game has to offer. If you are new to the game we will help you level up as quickly as your play time allows by maximizing your in-game time. This means you will move to the upper level of play quick while learning the tactics you need to be feared at sea. It also means you will have a chance to set up your economic interests in a way that allows you to enjoy the maximum benefit from what RIP has to offer. If you are already established in game but are looking for a place to simply have more fun we’d like to talk with you. St George Squadron of the White
Our Squadron is built on the principles and traditions of the Royal Navy. Our inspiration is of course our nations long naval history, our great naval heros and the doctrine in which they lead their men and fought their battles. To portray an accurate persona, it is necessary in all respects to conform to the established customs and practices of His Majesty's Service at Sea. The customs and practices referred to were the naval equivalent of the unwritten common law of Great Britain; and your persona is legally bound to conform to the law of the land, of which a large part is not recorded in statute form. Even though Pirates of the Burning Sea takes place in the year 1720 and many of the Naval Traditions we adhere to exist in the time of Nelson you must understand that historical accuracy in game isnt the rule. Playability and Enjoyment of the game for the players will always come first. We at the SGS think the time of Nelson is by far the most shining moment of the Royal Navy & it is that spirit of Nelson that we have embraced.
St. Erasmus Squadron of the Red
St. Erasmus Squadron is a light RP guild. At a minimum, we expect our members not to interfere with the RP community. Our guiding principle is a fun, friendly, mature and cooperative fellowship. We believe that success as a Squadron is dependant on the principle of supporting each other. While we strive to excel in the games we play with or against each other, excellence of character will always be more important than gaming skill. We are not limited as a group to a single game or a single genre. Members might play a single game exclusively or dabble in many. In any case each member is a valued part of our community. As part of our community, we maintain a website and forums and use Ventrilo voice over IP communication.There are three membership roles. They are Recruit, Recruiter, and Regular Member. A Recruit is a potential member under consideration. They undertake recruit status by visiting this web site and submitting an application. The recruit period will last at minimum 30 days. Ventrilo use is mandatory at this time, it is our best means to get to know you. You will find it to be a great tool that adds to the richness of your game experience. The 30 day recruit period may be extended in the event that playtimes have not coincided enough for the regular members to get to know the recruit well. Recruits have access to all of the Members Areas of the forums with the sole exception of the recruiting discussion forum. This is to allow members to speak freely in regard to a recruit. Recruits are encouraged to participate in all guild policy discussions and share their opinions prior to any vote, but they will not themselves receive a vote. At the end of their probationary period, a vote will take place among the members as to whether the recruit should become a regular member. The single most important criteria in this discussion is the conduct and degree of camaraderie developed with the Recruit during their probationary period. Any member voting no is asked to detail their reasons for doing so. Discussion may ensue. The strenuous objection of three or more members will warrant denial of Regular Member status. In the event that a recruit is denied Regular Membership, they are entitled to a written explanation for the decision. The Recruiter will send this explanation via email to the address the Recruit provided at the time of their application. There will be at minimum one recruiter for each game in which the guild has a strong presence, so that recruits may deal with someone who has an understanding of the game they are currently playing. In all other respects they are Regular Members. A Regular Member is any member who has passed the recruit stage. They have full access to all guild forums and their ideas and concerns are weighted equally in any discussion, regardless of their length of membership. Each member is entitled to one vote on any guild decision that requires a vote. Spouses, fiancs or mature older children of Regular Members are welcome to become members themselves without a probationary period. We do ask for an application from them as a means of introduction, and as always Ventrilo use is required. Members who do allow their older children to play in and with the guild are responsible for watching over the conduct of their child. Conduct and Consideration: The White Falcons wills strive for a mature and sportsmanlike reputation in every game we play. Games and communities vary. What is fair play in a Player vs. Player game may be considered hostile in other venues. Operate by the golden rule. Would you enjoy playing with a person who was acting as you are? No grief play will be tolerated, and is cause for dismissal from membership. Serveur - ROBERTS Historique : La Compagnie des Iles du Vent fut fonde le vingt cinq fvrier de lan de grce dix sept cent vingt sur ordre du Gouverneur Gnral des Iles du Vent dans loptique dassurer la suprmatie politique, commerciale et militaire du Royaume de France dans les Carabes. Sa formation officielle eut lieu le vingt sept fvrier, sur dcret du Rgent Philippe DOrlans, qui en confia immdiatement la direction au gouverneur des Iles du Vent qui lont devait le projet initial. Cre en opposition directe avec la Compagnie des Indes Orientales Anglaise, le gouverneur reu lordre de faire de la socit une force majeur dans les Carabes. Pour cela, le Rgent lui octroya de nombreux pouvoirs politiques, commerciaux et galement militaires en mettant sa disposition plusieurs escadres franaises stationnes dans les Carabes afin dassurer la scurit des convois, la protection des ports franais, la scurisation des zones de piraterie ainsi que la libration des iles occupes par les pays ennemis. Vritable Etat dans lEtat, la Compagnie des Iles du Vent agit donc en quasi-autonomie du gouvernement de Versailles, avec pour seule limite dobtenir des rsultats. Charte de la Compagnie des Iles du Vent Objectifs: La Compagnie des Iles du Vent ne veut ngliger aucun aspect du jeu. Si elle a pour but de peser militairement sur les Carabes, les outils politiques et commerciaux devront tre utiliss autant que les canons. Du point de vue conomique, la socit met en place une chane de production de navires.Cette chane fournira prix de revient strict les bateaux ncessaires aux membres de la compagnie et ralisera des bnfices sur les ventes de bateaux l'externe. Chaque membre de la compagnie devra adhrer ce systme via minimum 2 structures. Dans le cadre de cette chane, toutes les transactions de produits se feront prix cotant. Une ligne de production d' quipements de navire, fonctionnant selon le mme systme pourra tre envisage. En dehors de cette chane, les prix sont libres entre membres. La compagnie encourage des structures complmentaires mais le joueur est libre de ses choix, de mme qu' il est libre de crafter ou pas. En termes politiques, la Compagnie des Iles du Vent prend une part active aux dbats du Conseil Souverain de la Nouvelle France et suit ses dcisions. Selon la situation le gouverneur ou les membres mettront en place des escadres afin de donner a la compagnie les moyens militaires de sa politique. Il pourra dans certains cas tre demand aux membres de se mobiliser pour la chose. Le canal de la Compagnie est roleplay tendance lgre (autrement dit autorisant des digressions idalement entre parenthses) afin d'encourager l'immersion sans tomber dans le roleplay pompeux. Organisation: La Compagnie des Iles du Vent est dirige par un Triumvirat: le Gouverneur, le Diplomate, L' Intendant. Le Gouverneur: son rle couvre deux aspects. Il doit grer la guilde, il est l pour donner du mouvement, du sens et une cohsion la socit. Il est dpositaire de l' autorit et est charg de rgler les litiges. Paralllement, il fait office de chef militaire. Son rle n' est pas de donner des ordres tout instant mais de mener une tactique gnrale. En coordination avec le Diplomate, il dsigne les cibles et les batailles prioritaires. Le Diplomate: il est charg de nouer les alliances avec d'autres socits, de reprsenter la socit au sein du CSNF, dans le cadre des objectifs gnraux qu'il se verra fix par le gouverneur. Il informe la Compagnie des dcisions prises par le Conseil. L' Intendant: il doit organiser et s' assurer de la bonne marche de la chane de production. Pour cela, il peut conseiller et rediriger les membres vers des structures de production ncessaires la guilde, dans la limite de 2 structures. Il veillera galement qu'une utilisation raisonnable soit faite par chacun de cette chane. Cette organisation est mise en place pour 2 mois reconductible ou non l'issue d'un vote si le besoin s'en fait sentir. En cas de crise les lections seront anticipes. Par ailleurs, des conseillers pourront tre mis en place pour des missions prcises: Un Recruteur: charg de traiter les demandes de recrutement, de grer les recrues et de lancer une ventuelle campagne de recrutement. Celle-ci sera dcide par le gouverneur aprs consultation des membres. Seuls le recruteur et le gouverneur auront la facult in game de recruter les nouveaux membres. Un Animateur: charg d' animer la compagnie et de coordonner la ralisation d'animations. Recrutement: Le recrutement est ouvert tous les joueurs jouant sous pavillon franais, quelques soient leur classe et leur niveau. La Compagnie se veut efficace mais recherche le plaisir du jeu avant tout. Darkmoon Trading Company (BlackBeard Server) - This French society was founded on the seas of the Caribbean before most explorers and adventurers sailed in (formed in December of 2007 during Stress Test 1). The Company is made up of dedicated and loyal Naval Officers, Privateers and Freetraders alike, all working together for the same reason... the all-mighty doubloon. Our captains like to sail into pirate infested waters (PvP) from time to time, but they also keep to the shores (PvE), we leave it up to each Captain as to what waters they would like to travel in. Even though the Acadians (Cajuns) did not arrive until the 1760s, many French families have been here since the beginning of the 18th century and have had 250 years to merge with the Acadian arrivals. Consequently, the earliest of modern day Cajun descendants have were making significant contributions to the New World in 1720 and so goes the Raging Cajuns. Although, the Amiral has been in the game since pre-launch, the Cajuns have not made a significant contribution to France -- until now. We plan to expand and to make our presence known. We are a mature bunch who are concentrating on self sufficiency and PvP. Los Diablos Blancos is a Spanish society with emphasis on having fun and socializing with friends. We're not all about PvP, or all about the Economy, although we have members that specialize in both. All of our current members are over 20 and have jobs and families to worry about, so we know that this game comes second to those obligations. We don't plan on being a huge mega-society. BotC is a pirate society on the Antigua server within the game Pirates of the Burning Sea. We at BotC strive to meet a code of ethics above the normal player. We are a democratically run society in which ever member has a say as to the how the society is run. We have a three Leader structure followed by what will be the Officers (Agents) that go above and beyond the call of duty; and then the Membership which will be the heart and soul of the society. New members are given a 2 week trail in which they can try out BotC and we can try them out. We at BotC understand that it's a two way process and both sides have expectations as well as needs. Each new member is taken as their own person and affiliation to any current member, while helps, does not promise any altered treatment. Not only does this mean that you are judged on your own merit, but this also assures that recommending players aren't held accountable for anyone else's actions other then their own. After your 2 week trial period, a society vote will be taken and majority vote will be respected. Trial members do not have a vote on any society choices. We at BotC do not believe that quantity of membership is more important then quality of membership. While we want to grow and become a more influential force in PotBS, this will not happen at the sacrifice of maintaining a society of respected and trusted players. This will mean that our growth will be slower, but in the length of most MMO’s, will last longer then mass invite societies that don’t care as much about the environment their societies members have to play in. We will strive to influence the economy, city contention on behalf of our pirate nation, and honorable PvP as often as we can. Members are expected to maintain a respectful attitude within society chat and all public chat channels as well as the PotBS forums. Reputation in MMO’s is the driving force behind how societies and players are treated and we at BotC want to set the bar high. CRIMSON BLADE is a online multi-gaming guild which plans on being around for a long time to come! Many of our members have been gaming together for awhile now. We are an adult guild looking for mature players and we accept all levels of players. We were formly members of Cuban Gang and Ironsides guilds playing in a variety of games and looking forward to making our mark in Pirates of the Burning Sea! Cutthroat Pirates
Cutthroat Pirates have been in MMORPG gaming for over 6 years now. We tend to focus on one game at a time and strictly enforce in game RP. We starting up 6 years ago in Freelancer, then moved to World of Pirates. After both of these games started to fizzle we took a break and played WoW for 2 years. This break basically cleaned our house and we are starting fresh within the confines of PotBS. Our historic RP was to tax merchants, basically attack a merchant till they can't move then demand a portion of their loot. Although PVP is a large part of how we operate we are not greifers in the fact we will take bribes to stop the attack. This RP may change while in PotBS as players need to consciously flag themselves for PVP and as such this limits our original RP. Due to this we will be starting slowly and focus on finding our niche in PotBS. Initial recruits are asked to be mature, RP focused, honorable, and intelligent this is due to the fact the majority of the initial crew will be considered for key roles as our Society gets larger. Recruiting is open but we are very selective in those who we allow to fly the CTP flag. Don't let this fact discourage you I personally have met in real life about 20 of our previous members and most are still RL friends, just in different games or involved with family now as kids tend to take away your free time to raid and pillage.

Cutthroats of Ruin, as a name is new, but the group has been around now for 16 years. Originally starting off in NWN on AOL, CoR has gone by the names, Crusaders of the Realms, Champions of the Realms, and Companions of the Realms. This mainly depending on the game were playing an the fitting name. We are a close group and always look forward to seeing new faces as we have over the years. Traditionally we are a good aligned guild. Some may say that we still are, and that the oppressive British and other countries with their steep taxes are they evil forces we fight against. Either way, we like to say Argg!

We are a mature gaming group that loves to have fun and a good time, on the Morgan server. As a society we have a fine bunch of fun loving individuals, a working internal economic structure for a self sustaining society. We as a group do hunting parties and questing help. There are some that want to do PvP, we are currently trying to get to a level that we could compete with the other nations on the server. We work well together as team players in all aspects with-in the society.
